Noam Faingold is an up and coming composer straddling the worlds of rock, classical and Jazz. Faingold serves as composer, lyricist and singer/guitarist for his Burning City Orchestra. The BCO, who are currently in the mixing stages of their first full-length album, first received attention when they made the BBC’s short list in the “Next Big Thing 2007” competition, where they made the top 20 out of 2,000 entries from 88 countries.

Other significant engagements include serving as orchestrator and principal arranger for the Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey with the Bartlesville Symphony (premiered at the 2010 OK Mozart festival), and as an orchestrator for the HIFA festival in Harrare, Zimbabwe.

His music has also been performed all over Europe and the US, by organisations such ProQUARTET (France), Tampere Philharmonic Chamber Music Series (Finland) Jönköping Sinfonietta (Sweden), Cadillac Moon Ensemble (NYC), and Juventas New Music (Boston). His music has received the attention of the New York Times, Downbeat Magazine and the BBC among others, for his work in all of these genres.
